- Dr Dias is a pediatric gastroenterologist with over 40 years of experience.
- Dr Dias graduated in 1977 from Medical School of Porto. He was the Head of Pediatric Gastroenterology at São João Hospital.
- Currently he is appointed as a Pediatric Gastroenterologist at Hospital Lusíadas.
- He has been the Past President of the Portuguese College of Pediatrics Former General Secretary of ESPGHAN (2018-2021).
- His expertise & areas of interests include Pediatric digestive diseases, including IBD, celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, and chronic diarrhea.
- He has been the Associate editor and board member for various pediatric and gastroenterology journals.

- Explain the interrelationship between brain development, immunity, and gut health, and how they serve as pillars of early growth.
